Privacy Policy

MeetBurn provides a meeting-cost meter through our website (meetburn.ai), web app, and Chrome extension. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using MeetBurn you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an account, or your company administrator creates one for you, we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored securely as a hash by our authentication provider).
• Company & rate settings. Your company name, default currency, company-wide average salary rate, working hours per year, and — entered by administrators only — optional per-person salary figures.
• Meeting data you generate. When you use the meter or send a receipt, we store meeting metadata: meeting title, duration, participant count, currency, and the calculated cost.
• Authentication / session data. The extension stores a login session token on your device (via Chrome storage) so you stay signed in. The popup transmits your password to our authentication provider only to sign you in.

What we do NOT collect

• We do not record or access meeting audio, video, screen shares, or chat/message content.
• We do not track your browsing history or the websites you visit.
• We do not log keystrokes or mouse activity, and we do not read general web-page content. On supported meeting sites the extension reads only the meeting title and participant count to calculate cost.
• We do not collect health, financial/payment, or location information.

How we use information

• To authenticate you and provide the service — including showing the live meeting-cost meter.
• To generate and email meeting receipts to the meeting organizer.
• To give administrators their company's meeting-cost history, settings, and reports.

How information is shared

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate MeetBurn:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and serverless functions that store your account and company data.
• Resend — sends meeting-receipt emails on our behalf.
• Cloudflare — hosts and serves our website and app.
• Zoho Mail — operates our info@meetburn.ai contact mailbox.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not transfer your data to third parties except the processors above to provide the service, or where required by law.

Salary data

Per-person salary figures are optional. They are visible only to company owners and administrators, enforced by database row-level security — regular users never see other people's salaries. The default cost model uses a single company-wide average rate and requires no individual salary data.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your account and company data while your account is active. An owner can permanently delete the company and all its data at any time from the admin Settings, which removes the associated records. You may also email us to request deletion of your personal data.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our providers. Access to company data is restricted by authentication and row-level security, so one company cannot access another company's data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us at info@meetburn.ai and we will respond.

Children

MeetBurn is a workplace tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
